When you stop believing yourself…

This one hit close to home.

There’s a quiet eating away that happens when you repeatedly tell yourself you’ll do something and don’t.

You don’t notice it at first. But eventually… you stop believing you.

You say, “I’m going to change.”
Your mind responds, Sure, you are.

You say, “This time will be different.”
Your body says, We’ve heard that before. That’s what happens when self-trust breaks down.

And here’s the hard truth:

If you don’t believe yourself, trusting others becomes twisted.

Here is something that I realized: I had worked hard to prove myself reliable to everyone else… my family, my job, my responsibilities, but I was breaking promises to myself.

Faithfulness isn’t just about what we do for other people. It’s also about whether we can trust ourselves to do what we say we’re going to do. And right now, I’m learning how to rebuild that trust.

I’ll do it with small commitments. I’ll keep the promises I make to me. Most of all, I will follow up with me and follow through with me.
Its not perfection but it will be and build consistency.
